SAFETY CLIMATE ON SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES IN BATIK PRODUCTION BASED ON FACTOR ANALYSIS

Safety climate is an instrument to determine workers' perceptions of occupational safety and health. To find out about the importance factors in batik industry, it necessary do a factor analysis. Factor analysis was carried using Exploratory Analysis reduce variables form new with minimum lost information. Furthermore, Kruskal-Wallis test conducted differences perception respondents' criteria regarding previously formed factors. This study reduces 8-variable questionnaire 36 statement items into seven factors, namely management commitment worker actions toward safety, procedures support for worker's efforts create attitudes work workers rewards reporting hazard, knowledge safety.
